Geauga Family Farms CSA is a cooperative of four certified organic-naturally grown family farms located primarily in Geauga County. The majority of these farms are owned and operated by Amish families. The inclusion of multiple farms means that a wider variety of produce is available for our customers.

Summer CSA

A mid-summer family share

A typical medium mid-summer share

Our 20-week summer program begins in early June and runs through mid-October. Shares are delivered weekly to pick-up sites all across Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Portage and Summit counties. Many items in the shares will vary as the season progresses. To be sure you get your share of locally grown produce, sign up now!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            There are four different shares available:

  • A small customized share will provide enough produce for 1 to 2 people for the week. This share allows the members to choose the produce wanted each week from a list of vegetables being harvested.
  • A medium share will provide enough produce for two to three people to have several servings throughout the week.
  • A large share will provide enough produce for four people to have several servings throughout the week with greater variety and more volume.
  • A customizable share offers the same quantity as a medium share, but allows the member to choose each item that goes into their box each week.

Typical shares might include:

Early season – lettuce, kale, collard greens, cruciferous vegetables (i.e. broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage – also known as super vegetables for their particular health benefits), radishes, green onions, strawberries, raspberries

Mid-season – tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, sweet corn, Swiss chard, broccoli, beans, basil, peaches, blueberries

Late season – sweet corn, tomatoes, squash, potatoes, beets, carrots, onions, peppers, kale, pumpkins, apples, pears, watermelon

Please note:

We try to include at least one fruit each week, but due to harvest conditions this may not always be the case. Please recognize that these shares are primarily vegetables.

The vegetables in the shares are certified-naturally grown using organic methods. Not all of the fruit is organic – some berries and the apples and peaches are grown conventionally on other farms.

Applications are now available for the summer program.

Winter CSA

Our winter program runs for six-weeks beginning in late October. Shares are delivered to your pick-up site of choice on a weekly basis. Many items in the shares will vary as the season progresses.

  • The winter share box provides enough produce for three to four people to have several servings throughout the week.

Typical shares might include:

Sweet potatoes, onions, carrots, parsnips, broccoli, radishes, lettuce, Swiss chard, eggs and whole-wheat bread
