Summer 2012 CSA pickup sites announced

We are excited to announce our pickup sites for the Summer 2012 CSA season. We would like to thank our partners who have returned for another season with us and welcome our new partners at LEAF in Lakewood and The Goddard School in Macedonia. These sites will provide access to our fresh, local produce to those who live even further out. Guarantee a spot in the Summer 2012 CSA by signing up now. Deadline to sign up for the Summer 2012 CSA is May 1.

Pickups occur Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at the following convenient locations. If you choose to pick up at our warehouse, you must choose one day of the week to pick up and stick with it throughout the season. Please indicate what day you will pick up at the warehouse. This is a tentative delivery schedule; we may add a couple more pickup sites before the season begins. Times are subject to change up until the first delivery date which will occur in early to mid-June.

The chickens are still laying eggs. You may order your eggs by the dozen on our Web site and they will be delivered to the pickup sites on the dates listed below. Eggs are $3.25 a dozen. Order as many as you think you can use in a reasonable amount of time; because these eggs are fresh off the farm they will be good for several weeks.

Besides eggs, you may also order baked goods, maple syrup, honey, jams, cheeses and ground beef to be picked up with your eggs. Check out the full list on our Web site. Please remember that orders must be received at least four days in advance of the delivery date.

The next delivery will be April 14 at the B-Z residence in Cleveland Heights. Place your order on our Web site by April 10

Need a carpenter?

Before they got into farming full-time, most of our farmers did other types of work. Many have participated in the building trades. Some continue to do other work during the off-season to supplement their farm incomes and support their families. We'll bring you information from time to time about services that are available from our farmers. Feel free to pass this information on to others who might be interested.
