Now is here
A fine new start
For a whole new year.
The snow comes down
In the dark of night.
When we awake
The world is white.
In January
Buggy silhouetteWhen there's snow,
We get our sleds
And away we go.

Just a quick reminder!

This Saturday marks the first pickup at the B-Z residence in Cleveland Heights. Please pick up your eggs and any extras you may have ordered between 10 a.m. and noon. If you want to order extras, visit our Web site at Remaining pickup days at the B-Z residence are March 10, April 14 and May 12.

It is not too late to take advantage of the egg program. And even if you're not participating in the egg program, you may still order extras to be delivered with the eggs. See below for pickup sites, days and times. Be sure to place your extras orders four days ahead of time.

Michelle, Laura and the farmers of Geauga Family Farms

The egg program continues

We still have eggs available. Order the number of dozen you would like to have delivered each month to your pickup site for the next four months. (Eggs are $3.25 a dozen.) If you sign up now, you will receive the extra eggs with your first delivery.  Because these eggs are fresh off the farm, they will be good for several weeks.

You are also welcome to order other extras to go with your eggs (baked goods, honey, jams, cheeses, ground beef and some limited produce), and these items can be added on each month (four-month commitment not needed). Check out the full list on our Web site and remember that orders must be received at least four days in advance of the delivery date.

The egg shares will help us to make sure we have enough items to make the delivery worthwhile, and will reserve your eggs on a monthly basis to make sure they are available.

Anyone is welcome to order other items for delivery during these dates/times, but we cannot guarantee the eggs will always be available without an egg share.

We will have three convenient locations where you may pick up your eggs and additional items. Locations are as follows:

B-Z residence (Cleveland Heights) - Feb. 11, March 10, April 14 and May 12
Pickup time - 10 a.m. - Noon

Hill's Family Karate (Mentor) - Feb. 25, March 24, and April 28
Pickup time - 10 a.m. - Noon

Sage's Orchard (Chardon) - Feb. 25, March 24, and April 28
Pickup time - 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Need a carpenter?

Before they got into farming full-time, most of our farmers did other types of work. Many have participated in the building trades. Some continue to do other work during the off-season to supplement their farm incomes and support their families. We'll bring you information from time to time about services that are available from our farmers. Feel free to pass this information on to others who might be interested.
